You get what you pay for. This strip motel reminds me of the Bates Motel. I'm happy to say I made it out alive! The owners are kind, but the place is a little scary. The doors open with keys. REAL KEYS, like in the olden days. No swipe cards at this place. The window in my bathroom didn't shut and had duct tape all around the window sill.
Staying here was such a great experience! It's a small family owned place at a convenient location for travelers of I-5, plus it was inexpensive. The family in charge was super nice and friendly, offering information about local places to eat and giving out free breakfast. The room was small but clean and had some amenities that even hotel chains don't offer. I was nervous about traveling alone but this motel felt really safe and welcoming.
Looks scary and WAY too close to the freeway. Small, looks dirty amd un kept.
